Colleen is an emerging clinical mental health counselor studying at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. While completing her Master’s degree, Colleen’s practicum and internship will be supervised by Mary Katsahnias, LCSW here at Art of Healing. Colleen is currently planning to specialize further in emotionally focused therapy and interpersonal therapy.

Colleen  is a former high school teacher and enjoys working with adolescents as well as adults. She is also currently interning in a hospital behavioral health center, where she is working with people in crisis and receiving training in personality disorders and substance abuse. Colleen is open to working with clients of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. 

Colleen’s main therapeutic focus is on emotional regulation, self-empowerment, the stories we tell ourselves, and our relationships. Her empathy informs her approach, allowing Colleen to ensure you feel acknowledged and understood and supporting you or your loved one on your unique journey.
